About
JESUS COP is a genre-smashing horror-action feature written, directed, and edited by Rob Gabriele. Set in a grimy, blood-soaked world where immortality becomes a curse, the film follows a man spiraling into psychological collapse as he hunts two killers bound by a suicide pact. His only hope lies with Mary, a terminally ill teenager eager to chase death on her own terms. Together, they unravel a fractured timeline of trauma, memory loss, and metaphysical dread.
Blending satire, grindhouse violence, and dark philosophy, Jesus Cop offers a brutal rejection of moral clarity and spiritual salvation. The cast includes a diverse ensemble of counterculture and cult-horror figures: Alex Petrovich, Kansas Bowling, Erica Sherwood, Alex Ren, Lynn Lowry, August Kyss, Bill Manspeaker, Jay and Trevor Ziebarth, Nadia White, Al Jourgensen and Bam Margera as the voice of God. The film avoids hierarchy and focuses on the chaos between its characters. None of whom are safe, clean, or redemptive.
Filmed in Ontario, Canada, Jesus Cop is an independent production featuring cinematography by Phil Pattison, Cam Schwarz and Jay Lupish, SFX by Chris Cooper, and an original soundtrack by Grammy-nominated band Green Jellö. The film is produced by Sarah Shell, with support from Roacher Blank Films.
Confrontational, bleakly funny, and built to disturb, Jesus Cop embraces its cult DNA while diving into themes of mental illness, spiritual decay, and the myth of a new savior.
